Class, Happy Holiday!

It's not like an ordinary day today. I've been waiting for this day for like... two weeks? Next week is the school holiday, I bought packs of seaweed rice crackers to my students two weeks ago. Feeling excited #elevatedmode, because I wanted to take their photos! I wanted to capture the study atmosphere in my class; I wanted to capture a picture of me with babies; most importantly, I wanted to have a video tape recording our life at school, capturing beautiful memories.

Here, I wanted to express my enormous gratitude to Ladang Harcroft. Thank you for first giving me a chance, then I thought the opportunity just slipped by since the school don't accept interim teacher at SPM level; and my hope lighted up when the vice-chancellor called me to help a pregnant teacher who would only  come back teaching on March.

Happily, I worked in the afternoon session, I helped 3K to decorate the class, have everything done accordingly until the vice-chancellor, Pn Chee, occurred to be telling me that the teacher had come back, and asked me whether I can help in the morning session.

I thought I got discriminated and I thought it's all just a bad luck of mine. Thank you time. For making me to realize, class 2U is a treasure. Thank you for making me to realize - it's not that I had an awful luck or what, I simply need times to adapt myself in a new environment even though I had to start doing everything from zero, but now I'm a hero =D

Thank you job, for all the hardship I had. Thank you job, I now know when we work, we have to complain less, talk less, and do more. Either you stop complaining or just quit working. #stopcomplaining

Thanks to myself, for confronting every hardcore with patience and endurance. Thank you for letting me to meet some finical parents, thanks to them, preparing myself to welcome a cruel-er society. Thanks to the class 1U teacher, who's been impolite but her impoliteness made me to realize the beauty inside me. Thanks to her, I once regained my confidence in combating a challenging working life.

Thank you school, I now know attitude wins everything. Thanks to some teachers, who smile so charmingly at me every time we pass by each other. Thank you for approaching me and talk to me. Thank you for all the compliments. Thank you for thinking me as a pretty girl :')

It'd be plain boring? But it never bored me :) 

I left the classroom.

It's Saturday, today Harcroft had a replacement class for last CNY holiday. I had double periods of BC 1 (library time) today, and I decided to let all my baobeis relax and I wanted them to interact with each other as well as with me ^.* So, instead of going to library, I brought the English Programmer VCD to the class, it's "Disney Magic English" and all dears were EXCITED, I saw some of them sharing and sitting on a same chair with their friends, relieved. The environment was like in a cinema because I asked my students to close all the curtains and doors, leaving a privacy for my students and me :) The lights were all off, and my dears told me we're like in a cinema and what about their POPCORN?? I burst out laughter.

OMG SOOOOOooooo cute!! My dears are all cuties :P Can't help feeling motherly.

And I asked one girly baobei (Swee Yan) to sit on my lap. Aww she's so shy and adorable. And later on, I also asked a handsome baobei (Zi Yuan) to sit on my lap xD others baobei's were like jealous, sorryyyy la T__T I can't let everyone takes turn to sit on my lap right? T^T muaxx

Look what Zi Yuan baobei brought to me today! ^_^ His mother loves to bake, but he's not sure this is baked or bought by his mom. cute!!

Yesterday, unhappy thing happened. The students (Std. 5) were too noisy until everything was totally OUT of my control. Some played in my math class, some were scolding with friends, some said HARSH words in the class, and one student... got irritated by his friend and violently turned a table upside-down. I WAS IN THE CLASS and I AM THE TEACHER. YOU'RE DOING THIS AS THOUGH I DO NOT EXIST?!

Very angrily, I asked a student to call discipline teacher to settle the two students involved.

Then, I asked them to copy exercises, some were arguing with friends and some were throwing tantrum in the class because his name just got recorded by class monitor and I told them whoever's name got recorded, I would bring them to talk to discipline teacher. Feeling unsatisfied, so he ignored me.

Then... a tragic happened...

I was scolding a student for he used his high-lighter to draw on his friend's cloth. Beh tahan. I scolded them half-way, the whole class was still NOISY,

bringing up my MAXIMUM volume,

I STREAKED and SHOUTED (the whole block can hear it I swear)

then I left the classroom in anger.

I went to see their class teacher, Teacher Chooi, who is always my SUPERHERO because of her style of being a strict yet a perfect teacher. I said "sorry teacher, I'm so stressed, I can't handle your students.." Very motherly then, she comforted me and helped me to scold the whole class. She said everything in a very serious tone and I was standing outside, listening. Feeling down. She asked the monitor and her assistants to apologize to me and invite me to enter the class. But I ignored. I can't accept it. Then the bad and naughty students came out to apologize to me, but, apology's not accepted. I only forgave one student who I thought was performing well during my lessons.

Until the school ended, I never entered the class.

So the next morning, today, I received many apology letters... I wept a little, this is too touched :'(

Then today, when I entered the class late (purposely), the whole class was totally SILENT, waiting for me. LOL! touched* 

Then after my lessons,a  boy handed this to me :)
